Our extra-curricular highlights
Learning beyond the classroom
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn, and try new things. Through a variety of excursions and incursions, they have opportunities to experience hands-on learning that supports and extends what they do in class. These experiences help students grow, build confidence, and see how their learning connects to the world around them. Activities include visits to Calmsley Hill City Farm, Sydney Zoo, and the Pioneer Village, as well as attending Writing Festivals that inspire creativity and a love of learning.
Interest-based clubs
At our school, students have the opportunity to explore their passions through a variety of interest-based clubs. Whether you enjoy strategic thinking in the Chess Club, hands-on creativity in the Construction Club, nurturing nature in the Gardening Club, or innovation and problem-solving in our STEM and Robotics Clubs, there’s something for everyone.
Debating and public speaking
Our school offers students the chance to take part in the Londonderry Public Speaking Competition and to compete in inter-school debating events across the Hawkesbury and Penrith regions. These activities help students build confidence, develop strong communication skills, and learn to think quickly and clearly when presenting their ideas. We are proud to support our students as they represent our school and grow as thoughtful, articulate speakers.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music, and art programs encourage students to be creative and express themselves in many different ways. Students have the opportunity to take part in concerts, art shows, and drama activities throughout the year. Our school is proud to participate in major events such as the Schools Spectacular, the Synergy Dance Festival, and, in 2026, Pulse. These experiences allow our students to showcase their talents, work collaboratively, and celebrate the arts as part of a vibrant school community.
